About Us

Our story

Bringing Japan’s wellness home

Yotsuba was born from a simple belief: that Japan’s approach to wellness — precise, patient and rooted in nature — deserves a place in everyday life beyond its shores.

Rather than reformulating for the mass market, we keep our products true to their origin: sourced, developed and manufactured in Japan, then brought to you unchanged.

The name Yotsuba (四つ葉) means “four-leaf” — the clover of good fortune.

A message from the President

“I founded Yotsuba Japan around a simple conviction: Japanese quality, food wisdom and craftsmanship should be available to more people worldwide.”

Our purpose is not merely to sell products, but to adapt Japan’s value to modern life and work with trusted partners to meet the needs of each market with care.

Why Japan

Tradition meets rigour

Japan has one of the longest life expectancies in the world, and a culture that treats wellness as a daily practice. That philosophy shapes everything we do.

From Okinawan botanicals to advanced delivery technologies developed in Japanese laboratories, our range honours Japanese wellness heritage while holding it to modern standards.

A connected formulation philosophy

Science does not begin with an isolated ingredient.

Yotsuba approaches formulation as a connected system. Traditional Japanese materials, fermented ingredients, botanicals and selected modern actives are considered together — alongside their amount, compatibility, format and place within the complete formula.

01

Purpose

A clear product concept and intended nutritional context.

02

Composition

Ingredients considered as parts of one coherent formula.

03

Format

The delivery form selected to suit the complete product concept.

Formulation approaches

Four directions. One formulation philosophy.

We don’t apply one technology to every product. Each direction is selected where it’s appropriate to the ingredient, format and intended formulation.

01

Liposomal systems

Selected formulations use phospholipid-based structures where dispersion, delivery format and formulation stability are central to the product concept.

02

Nano-scale formulation

Nano-scale approaches are selected for compatible ingredients when a more finely engineered format supports the formulation as a whole.
