FIFTY YEARS OF JAPANESE MYCOLOGY

In 1975, Dr. Inosuke Iwade achieved the first reliable artificial cultivation of Agaricus blazei Murrill — the mushroom Japan calls Himematsutake, "the princess matsutake." Fifty years later, the Iwade Institute of Mycological Research still cultivates the same registered strain, ITO-S, named after leading researcher Dr. Hitoshi Ito.

BOTH HALVES OF THE MUSHROOM

Each five-tablet daily serving delivers 737.5 mg of Himematsutake as a 50/50 blend of fruiting body and mycelium with its culture filtrate. Most Western mushroom supplements use one or the other; using both captures the organism's complete output — including its β-(1,3) and β-(1,6)-D glucan polysaccharides and 30 mg of declared mannans per serving.

THE CELL WALL DISRUPTION METHOD

Mushroom cell walls are built of chitin — the same tough material as insect exoskeletons — and much of a raw mushroom's content passes through undigested. A patented mechanical process breaks that scaffolding without heat or harsh chemicals, releasing the water-insoluble glucans that conventional powders leave locked inside.

ANCHORED BY FOLATE

Folic acid at 62.5 µg per serving carries the authorised claims: folate contributes to the normal function of the immune system, to normal blood formation, and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. A small amount of ginkgo leaf completes the East Asian botanical heritage. Made in Japan.
